Uber replaced the UberPool modality with Uber Juntos in Brazil, in October this year. Also aimed at shared journeys, in which the passenger shares the car with other people who will follow the same route, the new service enabled in the application may require the user to walk to a central meeting point to board the vehicle. The company's proposal to facilitate the route of drivers, in addition to promoting faster and cheaper trips.
The race request service remains available on Android and iPhone (iOS) phones, in addition to the option of accessing the PC via the Internet browser. As with UberPool, Uber Together promises a 35% savings over UberX travel. In addition, it will not always be necessary to walk to find the driver. Check below the list prepared by TechTudo to explain the main doubts about how Uber Together works.

Uber Juntos emerged with the goal of saving time and money by combining the path of passengers with the route of the driver. Like the predecessor UberPool, the mode requires different passengers in the same car to make journeys that cover the same route. You can say that the service allows you to "split" the race with someone else.
The biggest difference in relation to the old UberPool is the possibility for the user to walk to a boarding point that favors the driver's direction, such as an easily accessible avenue, for example. This measure prevents him from going around or taking detours to find the correct location and being able to go straight to the point. For Uber, the initiative makes boarding faster and more practical, relieves traffic and benefits the environment, as there will be fewer cars in circulation.
A similar modality already exists in other countries: the Pool Express, with which all passengers must go to a common stop to board. In Brazil, the embarkation points are different, according to the location of each one, but all passengers may have to walk to find the best location for the driver.
In Brazil, Uber Juntos is only available in the cities of So Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. There is still no forecast for expansion to other parts of the country. In the future, the company intends to integrate the service with other means of transport.
The Uber Juntos modality appears to the user at the time of the race request (on iOS, Android or computer), alongside options such as UberX and Uber Select, for example. When selecting the service, the application will show, within a few minutes, the place on the map where the user must find the driver, which can be the customer's own place of origin or a place nearby. According to Uber, if the meeting point is different from the current location, the user will always be directed to a nearby location, such as the corner of the street or a next block.
In these cases, the passenger will have to walk for a few minutes to the combined stop. The procedure can be repeated on disembarkation, if it favors the route. In this way, it will also be necessary to walk after getting out of the vehicle to reach your destination. The application will show suggestions of routes that the user can follow on foot until reaching the place of embarkation or disembarkation.

In addition to sharing the race with other passengers, a condition that already makes travel cheaper, the sure routes and without detours make travel even more economical for the user. According to the platform, Uber Juntos costs 35% less than UberX, the cheapest modality of the service.
In a simulation carried out by TechTudo, starting at the Museum of Tomorrow, in Rio de Janeiro, and destination at Cristo Redentor (a trip of approximately 25 minutes) the prices offered, without any promotions applied, were:
- Uber Together: R $ 13
- UberX: $ 25
- Uber Select: $ 40
- Uber Black: 48
In Rio de Janeiro, Uber Juntos was launched with trips starting at R $ 4 in its coverage area, from Rio to Niteri. In So Paulo, users of the sport have trips with up to 50% discount in the first three months of use.
After the collapse of the Marginal Pinheiros viaduct, on the last 15, also in So Paulo, Uber Juntos won a fixed fare of R $ 5 for all trips at peak times, from 7 am to 10 am and from 5 pm to 8 pm. The fee was created to contribute to mobility and reduce the number of cars in the region affected by the incident. The discount is valid until the end of November, but it can be extended, as traffic improves at the location.
