With the call on hold, you can receive calls through the app even when you are already on another call. WhatsApp sends a notification to the user informing the type of call (voice or video) that is being requested, and allows you to decide whether to answer the call while the conversation is in progress. The function is activated by default from version 2.19.120 for iPhone (iOS) and edition number 2.19.357 for Android.

The function is available in the privacy part of the settings section of the application, and offers the options "all", "my contacts" and "my contacts except …" to choose who can add you to collective conversations. If someone who does not have permission tries to include you in groups, the invitation address for the chat will be sent via message, and it is possible to decide whether to participate in the conversation.
