Alexandre Hohagen, Director General of Google for Latin America, stated, in an interview with the newspaper Folha de S. Paulo, that the Nexus One, the Google Superphone, will be launched in Brazil at the beginning of the second semester. Hohagen also said that Brazil had no priority in launching the Nexus One due to the high price of data plans from operators.
Facing Apple's iPhone in the mobile internet access market, the goal of launching the Nexus, according to Hohagen. According to him, making the convergence between PC and mobile platforms has always been one of Google's interests. The Nexus One will be sold in two ways: linked to the package of telephone operators (blocked) or for use with any chip (unlocked).
