Last week we reported that, after eight years, the Apple ($ AAPL) is no longer the most valuable company in the world, losing its position to Microsoft ($ MSFT). But, as we also reported, the technology market as a whole has been quite troubled in recent weeks, with the shares of five giants losing the equivalent of Saudi Arabia's GDP in a very short time.
And this seesaw from NASDAQ changed the whole scenario again: if on Friday Microsoft was the most valuable company in the world, followed by Apple and Amazon ($ AMZN), today this ranking has completely changed, with Apple recovering the first place and Amazon returning to occupy the second position.
It is worth mentioning that, during the day, Amazon became the most valuable company on the planet, something that, for many, is the scenario that should set in soon due to the prospects of the e-commerce giant being better than those of Ma.
Today, however, things are as they were a few months ago. I mean, the order, yes; the values ??are not so much that, now, neither Apple nor Amazon are worth a dollar track, as they already were.
Let's go to the numbers:
|1||Apple||$ 184.82||+ 3.49%||$ 877.04 billion|
|2||Amazon||$ 1,772.36||+ 4.86%||$ 866.62 billion|
|3||Microsoft||$ 112.09||+ 1.08%||$ 860.42 billion|
As we can see, the companies' market values ??are very close. So, it is almost certain that we will still see many exchanges of positions throughout the week if we look at the post-closing negotiations, the shares of all of them are falling -0.25% ($ AAPL), -0.08% ($ AMZN) and -0.17% ($ MSFT).
Or, who knows, with the news that the United States will no longer increase the tariff for products imported from China from 10% to 25% (at least for now), things will improve a little for Ma and she will return to the level that was (or something close to that). We'll follow up.
