IOS 14, the next major version of Apple's mobile operating system, is expected to be announced during the WWDC 2020 event, which will take place on July 14. Unlike the models of the iPhone 12 line, there is little information about the news that will be implemented by the company.
However, seeking to increase fans' expectations, the French website iPhonesoft got a supposedly official list of devices that will be compatible with the new iOS 14. In general, all iPhones that are on iOS 13 should receive the new version, including older ones like the iPhone 6s and iPhone SE, released in 2015 and 2016, respectively.
On the other hand, Apple should remove support for the iPad mini 4, made official in 2015, and the iPad Air 2, 2014. Check below the supposed official list of devices compatible with iOS 14:
- iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max;
- iPhone Xs and Xs Max;
- iPhone XR;
- iPhone X;
- iPhone 8 and 8 Plus;
- iPhone 7 and 7 Plus;
- iPhone 6s and 6s Plus;
- iPhone SE;
- iPod touch (7th generation);
- iPad Pro in versions 12.9 ", 11", 10.5 "and 9.7";
- iPad (5th to 7th generation);
- iPad Air (3rd generation).
Remembering that this list was not released by Apple, so we can not confirm that these models are really fit for the new version of iOS. However, before the arrival of iOS 12, the same French website revealed that the iPhone 5s and iPhone 6 would be left out, and it did.
Therefore, there is a possibility that the list will be authentic. Anyway, we will have to wait for other leaks to corroborate all of this, something that could happen soon.
