LG's Italian division has released the Android 10 launch calendar for some models. Unfortunately, we have some bad news for K50 and Q60 owners: the company revealed that they will receive the new mobile OS from Google only at the end of the year.
So far, we know that the South Korean giant has made Android 10 available for the G8 ThinQ and also for the V50 ThinQ 5G, both marketed in South Korea. According to the schedule that was released, the next model to be updated to global version of the V50 ThinQ, which should receive the update sometime in February.
The list also reveals that the G8X is also compatible with Android 10, and that the company plans to release the update in the second quarter of 2020. Next, we have the G7, G8s and V40, which should be awarded this same update in the third quarter. . Finally, models of the K line and one of the Q line, will only receive Android 10 in the fourth quarter. Below you can see the complete schedule:
- February 2020: Global version of the LG V50 ThinQ;
- Second quarter (April to June): LG G8X;
- Third quarter (July to September): LG G7, G8s and V40;
- Fourth quarter (October to December): LG K50s, K40s, K50 and Q60.
If we think about it, the trend is that some LG smartphones will be upgraded to Android 10 after the release of the stable version of Android 11, which usually happens in the last quarter of the year. This reinforces the idea that the company is not usually quick to release large versions.
Recalling that Android 11 should be announced at this year's Google I / O event, which will take place between May 12th and 14th.
