In addition to announcing a new promotion back to school in Brazil (in which students receive Beats headphones as a gift when purchasing selected Macs and iPads Pro), Apple also launched a new exclusive model of its flagship Beats Solo3 Wireless in China.
The launch is part of your annual Chinese New Year gift guide, which is celebrated there on February 5th (by Gregorian calendar). The special New Year edition of Solo3 Wireless has designs on the outer sides, with golden details on the phone's logo, and is available in the ?silver-gray wing? color.
The last time Apple introduced a special edition of its headphones was last October, when we saw Solo3 Wireless with Mickey Mouse designs to celebrate the character's 90th birthday.
While this is not a new selling strategy for Apple, this year its Chinese New Year gift guide coincided with several challenges the company is facing in the country, including a commercial boycott and the number of iPhones sales less than expected.
Along with the new phone, Apple is also promoting its latest devices such as iPhones, Apple Watches, iPad Pro, among other accessories. It is not yet known whether this model will be available in other countries and regions in the future; the fact that, for now, it is only sold in China.
