Benchmarks of the new MacBooks Pro show modest performance gains

The prices remain the same in fact, the top-of-the-line 15-inch model is even a little cheaper, but the performance of the new ones MacBooks Pro (released yesterday by Apple) gave a good improvement.

Of course, we cannot and should not expect huge gains, after all, the processor upgrade was ?only? 0.2GHz. Still, tests with the Geekbench 3 tool indicate that the new entry-level MacBook Pro (15 inches) is 8% faster than the late 2013 model and only 2% slower than the intermediate model (also late 2013).

Geekbench 3 (single-core) - MacBook Pro (mid 2014)

In the performance test single-core, the machine reached a score of 3,050, while last year's score was 2,811.

Geekbench 3 (multi-core) - MacBook Pro (mid 2014)

J no multi-core the numbers were 11,586 and 10,730, respectively, showing that the difference between them is relatively good.

The earnings are not enough for someone who has a relatively new machine to make the switch, but it is definitely interesting for anyone who was already thinking about buying a MacBook Pro and was surprised by the arrival of this new generation.
