Instagram changed by mistake on Thursday (27) with an update that brought a new feed to the social network. With the novelty, it would be necessary to slide your finger to the left to see the posts instead of scrolling the screen upwards, as it has always been. Users who had access to the update complained on Twitter and the subject became the most talked about in the world on the social network. In an official note, Instagram explained that the function was in the testing phase, and was released due to a bug that was quickly fixed.

The novelty's operation was inspired by Stories, but many Twitter accounts indicated a similarity with Tinder's matches. The new interface allows the user to slide his finger from bottom to top to view the publication's comments, and to tap left or right to see the photo that comes before or after posting.

According to the social network, the update has already been rolled out to all users. Due to a bug, some users have seen a change in the way the Feed appears today. We fixed the problem quickly and the Feed returned to normal. We apologize for any inconvenience, "the statement said.
Instagram chief executive Adam Mosseri also advised Instagram users to close the app and open it again to stop seeing the modified feed. "This should be a very small test that was extended by accident. It should be corrected now. If you are still seeing it, just restart the application", he clarified.
That was supposed to be a very small test that went broad by accident. Should be fixed now. If you're still seeing it simply restart the app. Happy holidays!

How does the new Instagram update work?
The new view of feed feeds horizontally had been in testing since October, according to reports from international technology sites. This way, the posts are displayed side by side and the user needs to slide his finger across the screen of the cell phone horizontally to scroll the page. Instagram's intention was to bring the Stories interface to the application, but users indicated a similarity with the functioning of Tinder, a flirting application in which it is possible to slide the applicant's photo to the right or left to approve or reject.
The change did not please the users, who complained on Twitter. The subject became the most talked about in the world and came first in the Trending Topics, with the majority of tutes in Portuguese. Many said that the new interface made it more difficult to quickly browse the publications of friends and celebrities on the social network. Reports indicate that the novelty was only seen in the iPhone application (iOS) and did not even appear on Android.
