1. Does Waze work offline?
In order to use all the functions of Waze it is necessary to be connected to the Internet, since the traffic information is modified in real time and the connection guarantees an updated map. Despite this, it is possible to save routes if you have no mobile data using a trick in the app. But, in this case, it is necessary to search for the destination in a location where the cell phone is still connected to the Internet, and the route will be saved in the application only after Waze loads the route.

The company, of Israeli origin, was created from the FreeMap Israel project, which sought to build a free digital database with almost total help from the community of its creator. The creator of FreeMap Israel joined two more colleagues and, in 2008, Waze came up with the name LinQmap, but soon the change to the current title occurred.
The term Waze is derived from the English word ways, which means paths. The word brings the idea of ??the different paths that one has to reach the desired destination. In 2013, the company was purchased by Google and, since then, the company has the rights to Waze.
3. How does Waze make money?
Waze Ads is the primary source of revenue for the GPS app. The service is responsible for displaying advertisements for locations and companies during the user journey. Restaurants, grocery stores and coffee shops display their advertisements and offer discounts to drivers based on their location.
Advertising is available in the app in three ways: branded pins (pins located on the navigation map), digital notice board (which appears when the driver is stopped) and the inclusion of search results promoted within the app.
4. Waze warns radar and / or shows blitz?
Waze is a collaborative application, so users themselves signal the locations where the radars and blitz are located. To do this, just tap "Alert" and select the "radar" option to choose the type of camera on the spot.
