See the features and differentiators of Force Touch, Apple's new trackpad

We've talked a lot about the new MacBook here on the website. One of his novelties is the trackpad, which was completely redesigned by Apple.

Apple's new trackpad

On the outside, the Force Touch trackpad may look like other trackpads, but inside it is unlike anything you've seen. The outside sensors detect the amount of pressure applied, and the new Taptic Engine offers a click sensation, no matter where you hit the surface. The click, which was just a mechanical function, is now the beginning of what is possible to do with Force Touch. The trackpad feels and understands what you want your MacBook to do through subtle differences in applied pressure. Thus, it is possible to perform several different actions in different apps, all on the same surface. The trackpad also gives a tactile response, making your MacBook more useful and personal than ever.

Here's what Apple says about the Force Engine feature:

Traditional trackpads use a springboard-like mechanism, which requires space below the surface for the downward movement of the click and makes it harder to click the part closest to the keyboard. On the Force Touch trackpad, the outside sensors detect click anywhere on the surface and move the trackpad sideways towards you. But what you feel is the downward movement you already know. In addition, the Taptic Engine provides a tactile response. So you not only see what's happening on the screen, but you also feel it. The trackpad sends an instant response to your fingertip as you perform some tasks, such as aligning annotations in a PDF.

Now, about Force Touch:

In addition to the intuitive Multi-Touch movements you are used to, such as rolling, sliding, joining and separating your fingers and rotating, the Force Touch adds a new dimension to the Mac experience. Sensitivity can be adjusted, allowing you to control the pressure required to register a click. In addition, the trackpad can recognize whether you are clicking with your thumb or another finger and automatically adjust the sensitivity level.

It is not easy to imagine all this new interaction that Apple has created. So, better than reading to see the new features of this new trackpad.

IFixit, which has already dismantled the new 13-inch MacBooks Air and MacBook Pro, has also further investigated the technologies behind this new Ma trackpad, including comparing it with the old one.

Remembering that this new trackpad is currently present on only two machines: the new MacBook and the MacBook Pro with 13-inch Retina display. Of course, soon, it will be present in the entire line of Apple notebooks, but for now this is the scenario.
