1. It was co-created by a Brazilian

Instagram is also partly Brazilian. It was created through a partnership between software engineers Kevin Systrom, an American, and Mike Krieger, a Brazilian. Launched in October 2010 only for iPhone (iOS), the app was successful at the beginning: in December of the same year, Instagram already had a million users.

The favoritism of Brazilians on Instagram is confirmed by the statistical data. According to data from Statista, in 2019, Instagram had 72 million Brazilian profiles. The country lost in number of users only to the United States and India.
