Instagram Stories has a new filter called Desktop96 that simulates windows of older Windows editions. The filter was created by social networking product designer George Kedenburg III (@ gk3) and features nostalgic elements from previous versions of the Microsoft system and some classic applications such as Winamp and Paint. There are several viewing options and, according to the creator, eventually the filter "can become unstable and hang" making famous blue screen of death reference.
In the following tutorial, check out how to enable and use the Windows window filter in Instagram Stories. The procedure was performed on an iPhone 8 with iOS 12, but the tips also apply to users of Android devices. You need to have the latest version of the app installed on your phone to learn how to update your apps.
