Doctor of Sciences: Oxford University honors Jony Ive

After the unusual appointment of Jony ive As the 6th most influential person in automotive technology and the honorary title of Cambridge University, * the face * of Apple designs reappears in the spotlight.

At the annual Encaenia graduation ceremony, which takes place at Oxford University, Ive been awarded a honorary doctorate, being considered a science doctor.

Sir Jonathan Ive Apple design director and designer of iMac, PowerBook, iBook, iPod, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and MacBook. Six of his products appeared in a permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York. In 2012, he received the San Francisco MoMA?s Lifetime Achievement Award and in 2013 was awarded a badge Blue Peter Program Gold Award. His other awards include an inaugural medal (1999) and a Benjamin Franklin medal (2014) at Royal Society of Arts, the first designer of the year award Design Museum London (2003), the president of Design and Art Direction (D&AD) and also a president's medal from Royal Academy of Engineering (both in 2005), in addition to the product design award from Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum (2007). In 2012, D&AD named Sir Jonathan's Apple team the best design studio in the last 50 years. He is also an honorary member of Royal Academy of Engineering.

Also honored with the title of honorary doctors were eight distinguished figures including filmmaker Pedro Almodvar, architect Kazuyo Sejima, among others.
