2018 should bring Ataribox to market, it will use an AMD APU with a Linux-based operating system to bring entertainment and nostalgia to consumers. The idea that it works like an Android TV Box, similar to what we have today, with an open code system so people can do whatever they want with it.

In statement Atari general manager Feargal Mac Conuladh commented:

"People are used to the flexibility of a PC, but most of the devices we connect to TV today have closed systems and self-contained stores. Ataribox is an open system, and despite our user interface being simple to use, people I will have the freedom to customize the operating system. "
