Laptop battery test shows that, except Apple, manufacturers fail to deliver

Turn and move the Which? released some interesting battery test the last one we posted here on the site showed that the iPhones 7/7 Plus still lacking. Now, the vehicle has decided to test those of some of the major notebooks in the market.

What the Which? It basically does surfing the internet using a Wi-Fi connection and watching movies until the notebook battery runs out of power. Each notebook tested at least 3 times. In total, they tested 8 Acer, 3 Apple, 8 ASUS, 10 Dell, 12 HP, 20 Lenovo, and 6 Toshiba notebooks.

The result, you see below:

Which battery test?

At least in notebooks, Apple is doing beautiful. Among the five manufacturers evaluated, she was the only one who didn't just deliver on it; delivered more than promised!

Here are some examples of discrepancies between the promised and what the Which? actually got it:

Lenovo Yoga 510

  • Battery promised: 5 hours
  • Test of Which?: 2 hours and 7 minutes

Apple MacBook Pro 13 ?

  • Promised Battery: 10 hours
  • Test of Which?: 12 hours

HP Pavilion 14-al115na

  • Battery promised: 9 hours
  • Test of Which?: 4 hours 25 minutes

Dell Inspiron 15 5000

  • Battery promised: 7 hours
  • Test of Which?: 3 hours and 58 minutes

Acer E15

  • Battery promised: 6 hours
  • Test of Which?: 2 hours and 56 minutes

As we can see, in some cases the battery lasts 50% less than promised. ?

It's worth remembering that the new MacBooks Pro had their hint of polemics by failing Consumer Reports' battery tests, which was later "clarified and corrected." Still, it is amazing to see that only Apple delivers what it promises in relatively simple tests (internet browsing and video playback).

Let Ma serve once again as a reference for competitors.
