The new Brave Ads function is available in the latest browser version for macOS, Windows or Linux. When enabled by the user, advertising will be displayed in notification format that, when clicked, opens the ad in a new tab. The tool should also be added to the company's Android and iPhone (iOS) app in the coming months. Brave Ads are available in the United States, Canada, France, Germany, and the United Kingdom. The resource is expected to be launched in other countries soon.

What Brave Ads and How It Works

Brave Ads can be enabled on the latest browser version to display less invasive notifications in exchange for cryptocurrency. The user can choose how much advertising they want to receive while surfing the Internet. Those who choose to view ads earn 70% of ad profits, while Brave earns 30%.

Users earn monthly rewards in Basic Attention Tokens (BAT), a kind of Brave cryptocurrency, and can use it to support the most visited websites or their favorite content creators. According to Brave, it will soon be possible to use tokens for personal use such as lodging, restaurant coupon and gift card. In addition, BAT may be converted to your local currency in the future.

Brave Browser is a browser focused on privacy and online security, and the program by default blocks advertising and virtual tracking. Thus, the company ensures that the new feature does not collect or share personal data from Internet users to advertisers or to Brave itself. This is because the information is stored only on the device used by the user.

In order to view Brave Ads, I need to activate Brave Rewards, the system to reward the websites most accessed by the user. Then the option to configure the tool will be available in the Settings tab "(brave: // rewards /).
