Anyone who likes Ubuntu and LXQt now has a new option to use both together, at least as long as Lubuntu is not officially launched with this interface.
Ubuntu, in addition to having several official interface options, also has projects that are derived and created by people who are exercising their freedom with free software, creating their own solutions, so some interesting test projects come up, today you meet the UbuntuQt project. Recently I posted on the Diolinux YouTube channel a video showing Lubuntu with the LXQt interface, which should be the next official system interface. Some users who like LXQt and Ubuntu but think it needs extra "handling" have created an unofficial project called UbuntuQt, which Ubuntu with this graphical interface and has custom themes and applications to improve system design. The project now aims to provide the LXQt environment for Ubuntu users, as Lubuntu is still testing the interface, ISO has only 64-bit version and anyone who needs support for the system can access this page. If you found the idea interesting and would like to download, test or get involved with the project, the direct download links and torrent are available here, along with extra information.
See you next time!
