Step 1. Open WhatsApp and tap the new message button in the bottom right corner of the screen. Then go to "New Contact";

Step 2. Enter the basic contact data, such as name and phone number, and select "Save". That done, tap the arrow button in the upper left corner to return to the contact search screen;

Step 3. Finally, use the magnifying glass cone to open the search and locate the added contact. If the number has WhatsApp, just tap on it to start the conversation.
