Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge / S6 Edge Plus – Update for Android 7.0 Nougat
This week Samsung began releasing Android 7.0 Nougat for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in Brazil. The update occupies 1,203.54MB and arrives Over-the-air (OTA). The new software has made the user interface very similar to what we have in the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge.

The South Korean manufacturer has released the over-the-air (OTA) update for Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow to users of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge in the country. According to readers Eduardo Rodrigues and Mrcio Dornelas, the update occupied 1,220.24MB and, once installed, modified the build number to MMB29K.G925IDVU3EPC6.
In terms of functionality, some changes have been made in the quick settings panel, privacy mode has also been updated, making browsing a little faster, and now you can also choose and use the "install night" feature that will make all the necessary updates are done at night.
How to upgrade Galaxy S6 / S6 Edge / S6 Edge Plus
To check if your device already has the software update, follow these steps:
- Step 1: Open the Config app. on your Galaxy S6, S6 Edge S6 Edge Plus and scroll the screen to the end. Then tap the last available option, About device;
- Step 2: Then tap Download Updates Manually and see if there are any updates available. If so, download the necessary files and finally tap Install;
- Step 3: This step may take up to twenty minutes, depending on the upgrade. When done, you will see a message stating that the process was completed successfully.
