Marco Polo is a free app for Android and iPhone (iOS) phones that lets you exchange video messages in a similar way to the old walkie talkie. The app has similar functions to WhatsApp, Snapchat and Instagram Stories and lets you send friends and family short recordings. As much as the user may upload photos from the gallery or type texts, the entire content must be narrated and delivered in video format – which need not be viewed live, nor will it be erased after a few hours.
