Spotify got a timer to automatically stop playing music on Android. The Sleep Mode feature, which was already available for iPhone (iOS) users, is useful for those who usually sleep listening to music. You can choose between five minutes and one hour or ending of the current track. To enable the new feature, you need to have the latest version of the app installed on your phone.

In the following tutorial, learn how to use the timer in Spotify. The procedure was performed on a Moto E5 Plus with Android 8.0 Oreo, but the tips also apply to Apple phone users. It is worth mentioning that the feature is only available to Premium plan subscribers.

Step 1. Open the Spotify app and tap on the currently playing song at the bottom of the screen. Then click on the menu button in the upper right corner;

Step 2. Slide the options list up and tap "Timer". Finally, choose the desired time;

Step 3. If you want to disable the timer, just go back to the options and tap "Turn off timer" at the bottom of the screen.
