Apple News + launches, Texture service to end May

This news had been expected since Monday, but Apple only decided to fire it today: after the release of Apple News +, the service of Texture be terminated in May 28th.

Not entirely aware of the situation, Texture was the company responsible for subscribing to eponymous journals, which Apple bought just over a year ago was one of the initial moves to create Apple News +.

Like Ma's new platform, the service features a range of newspapers and magazines that are freely accessible for a monthly fee; Apple News +, however, comes with advantages over Texture, such as the presence of more renowned publications and content fully adapted for display on interactive iPhone and iPad screens.

On the official Texture website, a notice announces that the service will be closed on May 28, 2019 and indicates that customers may continue to have access to their favorite publications through Apple News +. There is no information about when service users will have their charges closed, but the note states that those who subscribed to Texture at promotional prices will not have that benefit reflected in Apple News +.

The announcement also does not mention an important point: who is in the Apple ecosystem can continue to have access to publications simply migrating from Texture to Apple News +, but who is not (Android users, for example) to be in a beautiful bush without dog, already Ma's new platform exclusive to their devices.

Are there any plans, like Apple Music, to take Apple News + to other platforms? Let's wait.
