How to install Jdownloader on Ubuntu

O JDownloader possibly the best manager of downloads available on the internet today. As developed in Java, becomes cross-platform. So you can install it on any machine running Linux, Windows, or OSX.

Although developed in JavaHe is very light and fast. But surely what sets it apart from the rest is the range of features and services available. Found an image gallery and want to download all full size images without clicking thumbnail by thumbnail? O JDownloader do it. Whether you download music from Grooveshark or another service from streaming? O JDownloader does.

In addition to supporting lesser-known things, it also supports several popular file hosting servers such as MegaUpload, Rapishare, Mediafire (my favorite), YouTube, among others.

If you are concerned about the fact that Oracle Java no longer available in official Ubuntu repositories, please be aware that the software runs with OpenJDK quietly.

The installation of software quite simple. Although not available on Ubuntu Program Center, just add your PPA and install it.

INSTALLING JDOWNLOADER

To add a repository we will use the terminal. Can we do this with a graphical interface? We can. But via terminal is much faster and practical.

To open the terminal in Ubuntu 11.10, Press the Super key (Windows or Ubuntu logo), enter terminal and click Terminal.

Now copy and paste the commands below.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:jd-team/jdownloader && sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install jdownloader -y

Now just wait for the installation to finish. The first time you open it, it will update and a configuration guide will appear on the screen asking where you want to place the downloads and stuff like that. Now just quit downloading. I did it.
