A few weeks after landing in Hungary and Luxembourg, the Apple pay made another expansion in Europe, arriving today officially Netherlands. As expected, the first Dutch bank to support Ma's mobile payments platform ING Bank, which since the beginning of last month has been promoting the service.
With Apple Pay, ING customers can add their Maestro debit / credit cards to the iOS Wallet app and make purchases at stores, apps, and websites from their iPhone, Apple Watch, or Mac. Enable the service through the ING app before adding the card to the Apple system.
According to ING, customers using the Mobile Banking app in the region must have received a notification informing Apple Pay support. Meanwhile, Ma indicates on the Dutch service page some of the retailers that already support this payment method, including Adidas, ALDI, Burger King, Capi, H&M, Jumbo, Lidl, McDonald's, Starbucks, and others.
Apple Pay's launch in the Netherlands is significant because it occurs after several delays in its implementation, and the first service tests there were reported about two years ago.
