First implemented in Brazil for this edition of Rock in Rio, the function had already been tested abroad during other festivals. According to Tinder, events greatly increase activity in the relationship application. The Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, which took place on June 4, 2018, resulted in a 300% increase in Tinder usage.
We often see a spike in in-app activity when tens of thousands of music fans come together, so we want to create an experiment that would make it easier for people to connect before festivals even begin, explains Jenny Campbell, Tinder CMO.
As in the previous edition of Rock in Rio, the social networking app will have a space in Rock City, where you can distribute giveaways and put DJs to cheer up the audience. The Tinder booth can be the ideal meeting point for the match.
