Instagram Localization Doesn't Work: See Tips To Fix | Social networks

Instagram may have an error when trying to post a location photo on Android and iPhone (iOS). The problem can happen when, when displaying the list of nearby points or creating a new location, the application does not display the locations on the search page. In general, the result will be the empty location screen, with no cities, sights or establishments to choose from.

The causes are varied: they may be linked to deactivated functions on the mobile phone, incorrectly configured permissions or dropped Internet connection. Here's how to fix the bug that prevents Instagram from loading on your smartphone.

1. Turn on location services

Instagram only allows you to tag location photos if the corresponding function is enabled in the operating system. Here's how to verify:

Access the settings and find the location options. The item is usually in the System Privacy menu on Samsung phones, is in Biometrics and Security. Then make sure that location services are enabled.

Even if GPS and other phone tracking features are enabled, Instagram may not have permission to access this information. Make sure the app has permission in the settings.

Step 1. In the settings, go to the Applications item and find Instagram in the list of installed apps;

3. Clear application cache

Files stored by Instagram after an unsuccessful update may be behind the find function failure. If this is the reason, clearing the application cache may resolve.

4. Verify Internet Connection

Instagram's location function uses GPS, but also requires active connection to operate. If nothing appears on the locations screen, check if pages open normally in the browser. If not, check if your phone data is on and restart your router if your smartphone is connected to a Wi-Fi network.
