Insta360 Pro 2 is a new 360 camera that records in 8K resolution

The manufacturer Insta360 presented his new camera Pro 2 capable of recording in 360 with 8K image quality (7680 4320). This is enough to provide a 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) image for each user eye in a virtual reality (VR) headset.

To capture the scenes, the gadget uses 6 cameras at a time and then merges the image data into two photos or videos at 8K resolution, thus creating the final 3D and VR content.

The product uses a software stabilization system. Flowstate, which takes the gyro data from the product and tries to offer a similar gimbal experience. This is necessary in a VR product as a physical stabilization system would eventually appear in the image.

"Insta360 today launched Insta360 Pro 2, an innovative 6-lens professional VR camera. It is ready to shoot 8K-resolution 3D 360 video per eye, innovating the entire professional VR production workflow by offering FlowState stabilization, live monitoring "Long-range, simplified post-production in partnership with Adobe, and a new technology that delivers VR 8K to viewers regardless of whether they have state-of-the-art playback devices."– Official Announcement of Insta 360

The new Insta360 camera hit the market in September. It can be purchased for $ 5,000 ($ 20,370 in direct convert) from the company's official website.
