THE Other World Computing t that t: just yesterday the manufacturer of docks and accessories for Macs and iGadgets appeared here with the new version of your Thunderbolt 3 dock. Now, here she is again with another really interesting revelation: the USB-C Travel Dock, which features a number of ports that can be useful to both Mac and PC owners, can also be used with 3rd generation iPad Pro.
The manufacturer has tested and made sure that all ports of its accessory are functional on new Apple tablets, always remembering, of course, the problems that iOS (still) has with external memory volumes. Apart from that, it all works wonders!
The dock itself, which has been sold for some time, is a small version of the Thunderbolt 3 connection model, with its aluminum sides and plastic top / base. The port options aren't all that great either, but it brings at least one advantage over its more expensive sibling: the HDMI 2.0 output, capable of streaming 4K 30Hz video and audio to just about any TV, monitor or projector.
In addition, here we have two USB-A 3.1 ports, an extra USB-C port (which can be used to plug the dock into a 60W computer) and a UHS-II SD card reader.
USB-C Travel Dock is available for sale on the OWC website for $ 40 in four colors that match your MacBook: space gray, silver, gold or rose gold. It comes with a two-year manufacturer's warranty and can be delivered internationally (but don't forget the fees).
Cool, isn't it?
