We recently had the release of a new version of the TeamViewer program, which should be the most popular solution for cross-platform remote access. Version 13 has just arrived and there are many new features in the Linux version.
TeamViewer has been supporting Linux for a long time and it worked very well, I've had the opportunity to use it several times including, however, the newly released version is interesting because it was all written in Qt and has 64-bit support without relying on Wine, as it did in the old versions.
According to the company, the reason for the investment in the development of this rebuilt version of the tool was the increase in customers who are Linux users and the technical limitation that Wine would bring to new versions, being more efficient to make a completely native version.
Other enhancements include optimizations for CPU usage, GPU and improved file transfer support, among other things. You can download the new version for Linux from TeamViewer official website. See you next time!
