Steve Hemmerstoffer, better known as OnLeaks, seems to be dedicated to publishing secrets about the 2019 iPhones. Just in the last days, the leaker published two renders (1, 2) of possible designs that Apple would be considering for the devices (or at least one of them, the successor of the iPhone XS Max); today he brought more possible information about future devices published by the Indian website CompareRaja.
According to Hemmerstoffer, the new model cameras will receive changes: on the back, one of the sensors will have 10 megapixels while the other have 14th Currently, the XS and XS Max iPhones have two 12 megapixel cameras each. There is no information about the megapixel count of the third camera, which may be included only in the more expensive model of the new line.
The TrueDepth front system camera will in turn jump from the current 7 to 10 megapixels. Engineering changes in the component should allow Apple to shrink the size of the cutout in the new handsets, although obviously this reduction is still quite a rumor.
O leaker also brought information about other aspects of the hardware: according to him, the iPhones of 2019 will continue with the Lightning at its bottom, countering rumors (doubtful, quite true) that the devices would take the path of the iPads Pro and make the transition to USB-C.
Also, because of differences in camera placement, the arrangement of the internal components would change: the battery would have a less pronounced ?L? shape, looking more like a large rectangle, and the logic plate would be positioned above the cell.
Hemmerstoffer notes that future iPhones are still in the design phase, so all this information may change until Apple decides on a way forward anyway, it serves as a good guide of what we should see in September. next
