The Lutris team launches a new version of their game management application and also a new website.
And 2019 starts on fire for Linux Gamers. The Lutris team launched this Friday two very good news for their portfolio. Website redesign is a brand new version of the application, coming in version 0.5.0.
The first big news brought by Lutris folks is the redesign of their site, lutris.net. The new version features a carousel of popular games already playing, such as LOL, Overwatch, The Witcher 3 , Warframe and WoW as examples. Now the site is even more intuitive for newcomers to the gaming world. Linux, getting to face the most popular games that work on the platform. This will greatly help in spreading the tool and breaking the myth that Linux has no games.
The second change is the visual redesign and complete change of the app, making it easy for anyone who needs to install their favorite game.
In this new version, you have more configuration options with most options being on key systems (on / off), in addition to Feral Game Mode integration (if so installed) and also when Optimus mode is enabled. hybrid notebooks that have Nvidia cards.
Another thing that is now easy to configure, which version of Wine to use, whether to use ESYNC or not, DXVK version and so on. Now the setting is just a click away.
And last but not least, Lutris's home has also had a makeover and is now much more organized. You can now configure each game or game store separately, and you can open a terminal to see how the magic works. This is very good and helps when reporting bugs (debug) to devs and thus further improve the application.
