WhatsApp Web dawned in English for some Brazilian users this Friday (22). According to Twitter reports and searches on Google Trends (Google's search monitoring tool), the messenger PC version changed language alone. Apparently, the bug affects both people who have both stable and beta edition of the app installed on their mobile phone, regardless of operating system (Android or iOS). It is not possible to manually port WhatsApp Web the language of the messenger is usually set automatically by the user localization.

Starting at 8am today, Google Trends has seen a sudden increase in searches for the term "whatsapp web in English". The search for "How to put WhatsApp Web in Portuguese" also has a high rate of interest, which shows an attempt by users to fix the bug. However, the web version of messenger does not have a native function for language setting.
The user may resort to some tricks to try to change the language of WhatsApp Web to Portuguese. Some options are just to check if there are updates available for the application, log out of the PC account and log in again or check if the location of the phone is correct. Another alternative is to check if the mobile app is in the right language.
Since the bug's appearance, several users have come to Twitter to complain about the bug.
