Huawei presents its new P30 and P30 Pro smartphones – this one, with bags ready for Brazil

If you want to escape the Apple / Samsung dichotomy that dominates the smartphone market for almost a decade, count on Huawei to have a superpowered, eye-popping third way to anyone's eye. The Chinese company had already surprised the world last year with the P20 and P20 Pro smartphones, and now it is trying to surpass its achievement with its successors. P30 and P30 Pro:

Huawei P30 and P30 Pro

For 2019, Huawei decided to focus entirely on photographic power: the P30 has three rear cameras, while the P30 Pro brings no less than four standard 40 megapixel optical stabilizer lenses, an ultra wide-angle 20 megapixel camera, a fivefold, 8 megapixel periscope lens, and finally a ToF lens (time-of-flight) for enhanced focus and effects bokeh more realistic. The ordinary P30 loses the ToF lens, and has a 16-megapixel wide-angle lens as well as a 3x zoom and 8-megapixel telephoto lens.

Huawei's hardware and software efforts seem to have worked, by the way: the P30 Pro specifically scored the highest score ever recorded by a smartphone in the DxO Labs: 112 tests, with 119 points for photography and 97 points for video. The main compliments went to the effects bokeh, optical zoom and precise focus due to the extra sensor.

In other respects, the devices have 6.1 and 6.47 inch OLED displays with minimal edges and a very discreet cutout for the 32 megapixel front camera. The resolution is FHD +, and they have fingerprint readers embedded in the screens. The processor is Kirin 980 from Huawei itself, and here we have 6GB or 8GB of RAM; smartphones also feature 128GB capacity and a Nano SIM card slot.

The battery another highlight of the devices: the P30 has a 3,650mAh component, while the P30 Pro has a 4,200mAh battery. The 40W charger included with smartphones is able to charge batteries by 70% in 30 minutes, and reversible wireless charging technology, so you can give life to another device from your smartphone.

The P30s come standard with Android 9.0 ?Pie? and Huawei's EMUI adaptation layer. They will be released in a series of different and beautiful colors, like a beautiful version called ?Amber Sunrise? ranging from light blue to violet; There is also an all black version for the most discreet. Note that only the P30 Pro has an IP68 certificate, while the ordinary P30 has a less protected IP53 certificate.

Huawei's new devices will be launched in Europe on the 6th, by 800 (P30) and 1,000 (P30 Pro); As usual with Chinese companies (apart from OnePlus), they will not be marketed in the United States. But guess what: the P30 Pro marks Huawei's return Brazil, where it will arrive in the first semester at prices not yet revealed here, we will also have the P30 Lite, with more modest specifications and not yet presented with details.
