Google wants better tablet apps quality

As every Android tablet owner already knows, most Google Play Store apps are designed for smartphones, which makes the sea of ??tablet apps in the Google store practically a drop. But the winds seem to have taken a new direction after the Nexus 7 was launched, so true that the company has launched a list to help developers improve the quality of tablet products they offer on the market.

Called the Quality Checklist Tablet App, the list features a series of 10 tips for creating the best Android tablet apps. In fact, the list does not apply to all applications, but rather functions as a series of detailed guidelines to use as a basis for optimizing any application under development.

The tips are a mix of obvious and interesting topics: optimizing layouts, test app quality, adjusting home screen widgets and other tablet screens and typography, for example. Most interestingly, Android Developers will post suggestions on tablet app development on its Google+ page, all week long.

If Google's efforts will change the quality of tablet apps, we don't know, but it's great to see Big G moving to optimize Android apps. In the very near future, Android users will not be bothered by Apple funboys regarding application features. May more lists like these come!
