Google Photos gets stories with Instagram style memories; know how to use | albums and organizers

The Google Photos app for Android and iPhone (iOS) phones now displays past-year-old stories at the top of the screen, in a format similar to Instagram's Stories. Images are private and visible only to the user, but it is possible to share a memory with specific contacts or on social networks. In addition, there is also the option to hide the content from unwanted people, animals and dates or to completely disable the feature.

In the following tutorial, check out how to use Google Photos memories. The procedure was performed on an iPhone 8 with iOS 13, but the tips also apply to users of Google-powered devices.

Step 1. Open the Google Photos app and tap a memory at the top of the screen. To share a photo, tap the indicated button in the right corner;

Step 2. You can send the image to a contact through Google Photos by typing the email or phone or posting to social networks. In this case, tap "Share …" and select the desired application;

Step 3. Tap the "…" button in the upper right corner to view all the reminder photos on the day or access the feature settings;

Step 4. In the options, you can completely disable the feature in "Show memories". To hide memories, go to "People and pets" and tap on the people and animals you want to hide;

Step 5. You can also hide reminders on specific dates. To do this, open "Dates" and tap "Add Dates." Select the start and end day and tap "Add" in the upper right corner.
