In the wave of macOS Catalina, Mac App Store highlights apps built with the Catalyst Project

One of the coolest news from macOS Catalina 10.15 It has no public face and goes unnoticed by most users, but no less important. I speak, of course, of Catalyst Project, Apple's technology that makes it very easy for developers to bring iPad apps to the Mac as we've discussed in articles like this and this one.

Strictly speaking, Apple will not highlight when an app is developed with a Catalyst handler that is, there will be no warning on the app's own page indicating this information; users will invisibly feel a wave of new apps coming to the Mac, all with deep integration into the Apple ecosystem and strongly reminiscent of their iPadOS counterparts.

Still, as it may be, Ma took advantage of this moment of launching macOS Catalina to list, on a special Mac App Store page, several applications developed with the Catalyst Project. Several of them even had their versions for MacOS today; others have been updated in recent hours with major changes following the new technology.

Below, we highlight some of the main news and you can check the full list here.

King?s corner

A card game in the grip of the old and good patience. You can play alone, with opponents of artificial intelligence, or in a group.

A curious addendum: The new app for Twitter for macOS, which has been featured as a flagship of the Catalyst Project, is not yet available on the Mac App Store. Did anyone delay anything there on the bird social network?
