How to install Docker on CentOS 7

Getting to the point, open your CentOS terminal and type the following commands:

sudo yum update

Now let's add the repository:

wget https://download.docker/linux/centos/docker-ce.repo -O /etc/yum.repos.d/docker.repo

Now let's install Docker Community Edition with this command:

sudo yum install docker-ce y

Now let's use SystemD to start Docker and enable it at system boot:

sudo systemctl start docker

sudo systemctl enable docker

Now let's install Docker Compose:

sudo yum install epel-release

sudo yum install python-pip

sudo pip install docker-compose

To verify that Docker Compose is installed, check the version:

docker-compose –version

As extra tips, use the commands:

yum –help

docker –help

They will help you get to know all the features available in the CentOS package manager and also the Docker options.
