Have you considered working on audio and creating your own podcast? Audacity is one of the best tools for you to capture and edit audio for free, and we have prepared special material for you that wants to learn how to manipulate audio.
One of the projects I like best here on the blog Diolinux o DioCast, our podcast that emerged in an attempt to spread the word about Linux and Open Source through other platforms. Nowadays communication through audio has been a very effective and interesting way to talk to the public.
What does Audacity?
Audacity is a free digital audio edition software available mainly on platforms: Windows, Linux and Mac and on other Operating Systems. Audacity source code is under the GNU General Public License. Its graphical interface was produced using wxWidgets libraries. Audacity started in 1999 by Dominic Mazzoni and Roger Dannenberg at Carnegie Mellon University and was released on May 28, 2000 as verse 0.8.
Audacity is very popular with podcasters for its editing capabilities, its large cross-platform availability, support, and open license that allows the program to be free.
On October 10, 2011, it was the 11th most popular SourceForge download, with 76.5 million downloads. Audacity won the SourceForge Community Choice Award in 2007 and 2009 in the Best Multimedia Project category.
And our course?
Created in partnership with longtime Diolinux EAD teacher Julio Csar, also a Blender course teacher, the Audacity audio editing course is ideal for you who want to improve the quality of their sound with a free and open source tool . How are we ending Diolinux EAD and fully migrating to Diolinux Play, our courses and material will all be for Play. The course speaks from audio capture and treatment to the soundtrack, aimed at anyone who wants to make podcasts especially, however, it can be useful for anyone who wants to learn how to edit sound in Audacity. There are only eight videos that make up the following playlist:
