New iPhones Have 4GB RAM and Up to 25% Larger Batteries

Since the new iPhones were released, many question the amount of RAM the handsets have and what are the real gains on batteries of devices. Well the MacRumors investigated and found the responses to Apple's filings with the Chinese regulator TENAA.

It is noteworthy that Ma registers several products every year at the agency and obviously this content has no reason to be false using this same data source, we knew such information from iPhones X, XS, XS Max and XR, for example.

But let's get down to business. Here are the battery capacities and amount of RAM of the new devices:

Model Battery (mAh) RAM
iPhone 11 3,110mAh 4GB
iPhone 11 Pro 3,046mAh 4GB
iPhone 11 Pro Max 3,969mAh 4GB

Below are the 2018 model numbers to compare:

Model Battery (mAh) RAM
iPhone XR 2.942mAh 3GB
iPhone XS 2,658mAh 4GB
iPhone XS Max 3,174mAh 4GB

That is, the gains in 2019 in drums were of 5.7% on iPhone 11 from 14.5% on iPhone 11 Pro and amazing 25%(!) on the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

TENAA Database with Information on iPhone 11 Pro Max

Although it is a record in Chinese and that, by then, iPhones have some peculiarities (such as the use of two physical chips instead of an electronic one), battery and RAM were never part of the components that Apple changes from region to region.

Note that the battery capacity of the iPhone 11 Pro Max was leaked by a Foxconn employee in mid-August along with other accurate information such as device names, iPhone 11 colors and more.

The 4GB of RAM for the entire line also 2019 something that is consistent with some results from benchmarks that have surfaced on the web in recent days. Much has been discussed, however, about the possibility that the iPhones 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max have more RAM than the input model (6GB, to be exact) even because of a possible higher need due to the third camera, but all indicates that this information is not correct.

We'll know more about this when the iPhones 11, 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max are properly unmounted by iFixit, but the above data, as we said, has everything to be true.
