A famous product from KDE Fan Kdenlive, a nonlinear video editor widely used by me, Henry (OS) and for many years by Dio on the Diolinux Channel. He is a very good and very complete editor.
With the release of KDE 19.08 several improvements have been made, with Kdenlive receiving them as well. But recently there was a new update, KDE Applications 19.08.1, with several improvements and bug fixes, released on September 5th and only now coming to Kdenlive. The corrections and improvements in the editor were:
Fixed disabling on clip when disabling part of audio;
Fixed breaking of timeline resizing;
Fixed autoscroll deactivation;
Old custom effects will be converted to a new one, with your custom name as well;
When using the resize effect (Ctrl +) on a clip, the image will always be kept centered on the screen;
To see more details, you can access here. If you want to use this new version of Kdenlive, you can go here and choose the best method for your district. If you choose to install via Flatpak, it's worth checking out our tutorial on how to enable this feature in your distro if it doesn't have it.
That done, you can install Kdenlive via Flatpak in two ways. The first, searching your app store for Kdenlive and installing it there. Or via terminal with the following command:
flatpak install flathub org.kde.kdenlive
Then follow the onscreen instructions and wait for the installation. Then just look for Kdenlive in your district's Menu.
