The new Office app is available as preview (ie it is not yet his final verse), via Testlight (Apple testing platform with user limit). To use, simply download and sign in with your Microsoft account.

At the moment, the app is only available for smartphones, but Microsoft wants to bring this experience to tablets, too.

It's worth noting that at least for now nothing changes in standalone apps (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Microsoft, however, is encouraging people to try the new Office application.
