Company account or content creator? Understand Commercial Instagram | Social networks

The Instagram business account has two profile categories: content creator or company. Each account type offers different tools for monitoring profile activities. For example, the content creator option shows the number of interactions and range of the profile, as well as making the Creation Stage available on the computer, where you can schedule IGTV feeds or videos.

The content creator account was launched earlier this year by Instagram. Previously, the option was available to users with more than 10,000 followers. Both types of business accounts have similar features, focusing on influencers or online businesses. Here are the key differences from commercial Instagram to content creator or company.

The content creator option allows you to choose a more specific category, referring to user occupation, to display the title in the profile. The list includes various options such as artist, photographer, journalist, dancer, designer, gamer and many others. In the business option, categories are limited to personal blog, product / service, art, music / band, shopping and retail, health / beauty and grocery.

2. Category label and contact ways

By switching your account to the content creator account, you can hide your contact information and category label. In the company account it is not possible to hide the category label and contact forms at the time of profile creation, only after the "display options" tab under "edit profile".

The content creator gets more details about your account activity. You can see the number of people who have stopped following or started following it after some posting. In the business account you can also see the number of people who followed or unfollowed the profile, but the platform only shows data from the last seven days, not from any post.

This is the only distinction in detailing account data. Both profiles display the top locations of followers, age group, gender, and average time these users spend on Instagram, as well as the main time they access the network.

4. Message Management

The main differential between the two accounts is the mailbox. While the company account displays only one message tab, the content creator account has three windows: main, general, and requests.

The conversations on the main tab are the ones the user maintains regularly. Already messages moved to the general tab are not notified to the account owner. Finally, message requests are conversations with people that the user does not follow.

Both content creator and corporate accounts have access to the Facebook Creation Studio. Here you can publish, schedule, or save as posts to feed and IGTV. In addition, the user also has access to information about his activities and his public through the computer.

6. Sales, promotion and quick responses

At this time, only company accounts can sign up for Instagram sales. Online catalogs are linked to profiles and displayed in account publications. However, the tool will soon also be available to content creators.

Promoting Instagram posts is available for both accounts. To do this, just be linked to Facebook and have credits. In addition, both accounts can set up quick replies for frequent messages, which facilitates the account owner's interaction with followers.
