A few weeks ago we reported that some products among them, the latest white (polycarbonate) MacBook were making the list of classic / obsolete from Apple. Yesterday, she announced that a few more will go that same way from June 30th.
This time the list includes Mid-2011 11 and 13-inch MacBooks Air, the 13, 15 and 17 inch MacBooks Pro from late 2011, O Mid-2009 17-inch MacBook Pro, O AirPort Express 802.11n (first generation) and the 16GB and 32GB 3GS iPhones.
In some countries, Apple classifies products as classic (vintage); others as obsolete (obsolete). Depending on their local laws, this may happen five or seven years after product discontinuation, but in practice the result is the same: full technical support closure.
Apple has a support article in which it lists all products that are already in that list.
