Miguel Pais do Amaral acquired 20 percent of the capital of Airplus TV Portugal. The information was revealed in a statement that explains the interest in the Nordic company with the credibility of the project that it presents, «namely, in its bet on new Portuguese channels with national quality content and different from the current offer», quotes Jornal de Negócios.
On the 25th of June, Airplus TV Portugal will reveal the new shareholder structure of the company and make known the new responsible for the local operation of the group. For now, the company only reveals that it is Portuguese.
AirPlus TV is, in addition to PT, the only competitor to digital terrestrial television. The company is applying to provide paid DTT services.
