Before starting his presentation on the regulation panel, which marks the afternoon of the first day of the 16th APDC Congress, Abel Mateus revealed to journalists that the Competition Authority is reevaluating the draft decision on Sonaecom’s takeover bid to PT.

On the sidelines of the conference, Abel Mateus said that the reassessment is ongoing and happens after the AdC has received arguments from various parties on how the commitments defined for Sonaecom were configured.

The official did not provide further details, sending the new draft decision to the next few days.

At the end of October, anacom delivered to AdC a non-binding opinion, which presents a series of arguments related to the decision, and that Jornal de Negócios and Diário Económico, who had access to the information, wrote that they were clearly against the project presented by Competition Authority.
