Slang comes from the verb «add», in English, which means «add». In a time when the tendency was to save characters, the term worked well not only for MSN users, but also for Orkut users. «Add vc, amg», for example, is simply a lean way of saying «I added you, friend».
Coming from the English language, the expression «xoxo» means «kisses and hugs». Popular not only on MSN, but also in online chat rooms, slang was part of the vocabulary of every Internet user in the 2000s and was used to say goodbye affectionately at the end of the conversation. Some people wrote “xxx” (just kisses) and “xoxoxoxoxo”, to indicate a lot of kisses and hugs.
«Rox» and «sux» were very popular expressions on MSN, both derived from English. «Rox» comes from «rock» and is used to refer to something very good. «Sux», on the other hand, derives from the verb «suck», which usually indicates something very bad or unpleasant.

The slang «Fikdik» means «get the tip» and used to always appear at the end of the sentence, to indicate that the message brought advice or recommendation to the person with whom you were talking.

«Cof cof» is an interjection that indicates cough. In MSN conversations, the expression was often used to show irony. For example: «I know nothing, cof cof».

Although MSN offers emoticons, most users preferred to type «S2» to illustrate a heart, formed by the combination of the two digits. The term used to come at the end of affectionate messages and, like «SZ», is still part of the vocabulary of some internet users.
It may seem strange, but that was the way many MSN users wrote the word “bye”. The term was also used in online chat rooms and on Orkut, but it has fallen out of favor over time.
The abbreviation «Sdds» is nothing more than a word «saudades» written in a simpler way to be used in more informal conversations.
