11 PUC-Rio students will participate in WWDC19!

Eleven students from IOS Development Training Program, gives Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), won scholarships to attend Apple's annual developer conference after excelling in Ma's own worldwide selection process, designed for students from around the world in science and technology.

Students created projects using the tool Swift Playgroundsfrom Apple and were encouraged to suggest innovations and news for the platform within ten days; Among the criteria used to judge competitors, Ma considered technical knowledge, creativity and experience as some of the most important.

The student Pedro Henrique Barroso Gomesfor example, they are going to WWDC for the second time; This year he created a project involving cordel literature. Al the student Jlia Maria Alves Lima dos Santos, which debuts at the Ma conference, used ARKit as the basis of its project focused on people with spatial perception difficulties.

All 11 students received Apple scholarship scholarship, which covers admission to WWDC19 (which costs the equivalent of $ 6,400 at today's price) with free access to all conference sessions, as well as lodging and food; four of them still won the travel assistance, which covers the cost of area tickets for the event.

Since 2012, 54 PUC-Rio j students have been selected by Apple to receive WWDC scholarships.
