Using the hashtags # 10yearschallenge and # 10yearchallenge («challenge for 10 years», in free translation) is the new joke among users of social networks like Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. The idea is to compare your appearance in two photos, one from 2009 and one from 2019. Other tags like #HowHardDidAgingHitYou (something similar to «how difficult aging was for you») and #GlowUp («shine») were also used. The «before and after» fashion has been favored by anonymous and famous users, who have made their own combinations. As of Tuesday night (15) there were more than 1 million posts on Instagram about the 10 Years Challenge.
Hollywood actress Viola Davis and digital influencer Bianca Andrade, known as Boca Rosa, have already entered the fever. Despite being on the rise abroad, the fun began to spread throughout Brazil and one of the pioneers was the humorist Fábio Porchat. Popstar Madonna also joined the challenge. With a sporting spirit, she modified the hashtag and published «#thechallengeissurviving» («the challenge is to survive»). This type of engagement is common on social networks, especially on Instagram. Last year, shortly after the World Cup in August, the hashtags #delechallenge, #deleallichallenge, #delealli and #dele moved the platform. The challenge was to reproduce the gesture made by the English player Dele Alli over the eye when celebrating a goal for Tottenham. At the time, Brazilian player Neymar JĂşnior, from Paris Saint-Germain, joined the wave of his colleague.
Users also faced the «Falling Stars Challenge», in which the goal was to pose lying down, face down, and display items of value that were in bags or pockets before the false fall. Another joke used the English acronym «RIP» («rest in peace» or «rest in peace») to publish photos in which users pretended to be dead. The intention was to win likes and thus increase popularity.
Instagram has a free tool called Layout, exclusive for image montages and available on Android and iPhone (iOS) phones. With it, users can create a comparison of before and after photos and share on networks such as Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram itself. Those interested in adding captions with the years of each collage figure can use the Stories tools to perform the action. In the end, just save in the gallery and post wherever you want.

Step 2. The selected photo shows the surroundings in blue. The thicker part of the outline allows you to increase or decrease the space of a figure in the assembly. Touch «Replace» to replace the chosen images. In «Mirror», the photo is inverted;

Step 3. The user can invert the image position in «Flip» («Rotate»). To add a border between the figures and separate them, go to «Borders». When you are finished editing, select «Save» to save the image and proceed;

Step 4. Finally, decide on which social network you want to share the montage. The tool allows you to choose Instagram and Facebook, as well as WhatsApp and Snapchat by tapping «More». If you want to save to the gallery, just choose the option «Done» («Ready»), in the upper right corner.
