YouTube and several music companies have been remastering old video clips to HD since 2019.
The partnership has already resulted in more than 100 music videos by artists receiving a significant update in visual quality.
By the end of 2020, companies expect to reach more than 1,000 videos.
HD videos replace the original versions of YouTube and YouTube Music, but keep the same URLs, view counts and likes as before.
Updated videos are given labels like #Remastered and “Remastered in HD!” in the description.
Although the videos were not recorded in HD, but the remastering makes the images sharper than before.
